Depression

In the depths of the shadow, where light is a stranger,

A silent battle rages, unseen and unheard.

The world outside continues, oblivious to the danger,

Of the internal storm, where thoughts are blurred.

A smile worn as armor, a laugh as a shield,

Hiding the pain that refuses to yield.

The night seems endless, the days are gray,

In this realm where colors have faded away.

Yet within the darkness, a spark remains,

A flicker of hope, despite the pains.

A whisper of strength, a promise of dawn,

A reminder that this too, shall be gone.

Depression, a battle, fought in solitude,

A journey through a desolate longitude.

But remember, you're stronger than your strife,

For every sunset, is followed by life.
