Summer

In the heart of the year, under the blazing sun,

Where the days are long and the shadows run.

Beneath the azure sky, so vast and high,

Summer unfolds like a butterfly.

Golden rays kiss the sea, in a warm embrace,

Children's laughter echoes, as they give chase.

Ice cream drips down smiling faces,

Summer's magic, in all places.

Fields of gold sway in the breeze,

Sweet scent of flowers, carried with ease.

Picnics under the old oak tree,

Summer, a symphony of joy and glee.

As the sun sets, painting the sky,

Fireflies dance, as stars multiply.

Cooling the earth with its silver glow,

Summer nights, a tranquil tableau.

Summer, a season of light and cheer,

A time of abundance, we hold dear.

So here's to the sun, the sea, the silt,

And the memories of summer, lovingly built.
